 For 60+ years, Center Township and the City of Valparaiso have partnered to provide Fire and Emergency Services to ALL residents of Center Township.
Recently, Center Township Government constructed Fire Station #3 in the unincorporated area of Center Township on Country Road 250 West north of U.S. Highway 30 and south of Joliet Road. We accomplished this task by investing taxpayer funds wisely. Center Township Government PAID CASH FOR THIS $1.65 MILLION FACILITY. We are extremely pleased to have accomplished this project without a need to borrow.
Station #3 is a state-of-the-art, 24/7 facility. It has dramatically reduced emergency response times to the unincorporated areas of Aberdeen, Lincoln Hills, Sylvan Manor, Valley View, Hidden Hollow, Heritage Valley, unincorporated residences, other westside Valparaiso Communities and to help other nearby townships for mutual aid responses. Center Township Government is also proud to have contributed via Station #3 to the reduction of the City of Valparaiso's I.S.O. Fire Rating. Homeowners and businesses throught Center Township and Valparaiso have an opportunity to reduce their yearly fire insurance premiums.
